*Your Own Home Diner!*

Ok families. Times are tough if you haven't lost your job you’re still feeling the effects of others that have. Companies have closed leading to an increase in the price of everything. So it's Friday night you need to figure out how to feed your family fast, but not break the bank. You'd love to go out, after all it's been a long week and (to quote my dad) you deserve it! But you've got little one's and the thought of making your husband sitting in a restaurant with his own children while trying to enjoy dinner is agonizing.

So what do you do?.... Eat at your own home diner!

This is something we've been doing a lot lately. I get the meat ready in the morning ahead of time, whether it's something simple like hot dogs or more involved like a roast in the Crockpot. I grab the sides on the way home. The meal can be thrown together in 10 minutes or less and to make it more fun we turn off the lights and light candles and talk about our day. With the lights off you can almost forget your home. And eating by candle light makes familiar rooms turn in to a new dining experience.

The best part is, when you’re done. Your home already and can put the kids directly in the tub.

Too light during dinner? what about a good old fashioned picnic? Perhaps in someone’s room if the weather is bad, anything to keep you family together and talking.

Remember.... "The family that plays together stays together"
